Infertility
A couple is regarded as infertile when after a year of sexual intercourse in the absence of any birth control methods, they haven’t been able to have a baby. Major infertility or subfertility causes are disorders in male and female reproductive systems.
There are two types of infertility. Primary infertility is when the couple have never conceived in the past, while Secondary infertility is failure to conceive following a previous pregnancy. Surveys have shown that 15% of couples nowadays suffer from secondary infertility, which is quite a high rate compared to the past.
Infertility is a problem closely related to age. It is estimated that 1/3 of couples in their 30s cannot easily have a child, which in developed countries has to do with the professional pursuits and the career goals that modern couples tend to set..
