Gynecology
Gynecology is one of the most complex branches of Medicine and its object is the study of the female organism from a physical, morphological and pathological point of view. The gynecologist has by definition a complex role, given that the woman's physiology is quite complex.
One of the most widespread and critical applications of gynecology is the annual gynecological examination (Pap test). The Pap test is a unique weapon in the hands of a modern gynecologist in his attempt to diagnose conditions that threaten a woman's health and fertility.
Pregnancy monitoring, natural childbirth, contraception, fertility and infertility, fibroids, sexually transmitted diseases as well as procedures that constitute endoscopic gynecological surgery, such as hysteroscopy and laparoscopy, are some of the most important fields of theoretical/research and practical/applied occupation for a gynecologist today .
